Obituary for Elvira Harmon

Elvira Chiquita Harmon February 8, 1954 - June 28, 2021

Elvira Chiquita Harmon was born on February 8,1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to David L Harmon Sr. and Annie M. Harmon. Elvira was the third of five siblings. She grew up in the city of Philadelphia and was educated in the Philadelphia Public School system.

Elvira gave birth to three children, two daughters and one son. As a mother she made sure her kids knew she loved them. She also loved music, playing games, watching movies, and spending time with family. She spent years working at Target , she loved shopping. Her favorite thing to do was bargain shop. She was so thoughtful. She wouldn't hesitate to help out if need be.

Affectionately known as “Nana'' by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Elvira used every moment she had, making memories and forming unbreakable bonds with those she loved. Elvira had a feisty spirit, you never had to guess how she felt because she told you directly! That was the best part about her. She was so unpredictable with such a great sense of humor. Those who knew her adored her. She fulfilled her role as Nana undeniably. From driving her grandchildren to school, chaperoning on field trips, and those weekly play dates. She was a cheerleader for her family. She was devoted to her faith, a loyal friend, and an all around loving individual. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children Tyra Pryor, (Earl), Nakeisha Hogan (David), and Justin Harmon. Seven grandchildren Danaye Wise, Tyresa Harmon, Sheila Saunders, Danny Wise, Parris Saunders, Ayana Hogan and Autumn Hogan. Three great grandchildren, Aubri, Sienna and Kehlani, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
