Obituary for Donald R "Buddy" Quill Sr.

Donald R. Quill, Sr “Buddy” age 68, of New Castle, DE passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
Buddy spent 36 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico and recently returned to his home town in New Castle, DE. He was a 1970 graduate of William Penn High School. Buddy was a member of the Delaware National Guard and Army Reserve for 10 years. Buddy enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating.
Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Alpha Quill; and his siblings, Michael Quill, Robert Quill, William "Butchee" Quill and Carol Elizabeth Quill.
Survivors include his children, Don Quill (Carri) and Shannon Barone (Rodney) and their mother, Eddi Ashby (Rob); his grandchildren, Ariya, Nicholas and Kye’on Barone and Athena Simpkins; and his siblings, Sandy Hoke, Irene Quill, Bonita Haslam and Mark Quill (Bonnie).
Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Thursday, August 6 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St. Wilmington, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will be private. Attendance will be limited based on the current COVID19 occupancy requirements and masks will be required.
