David was preceded in death by his father, Willie Dingess.

Joy, PA; son, David Dingess Jr of West Virginia; daughter, Brandy Dingess of Dover, DE; step daughters, Michele Hill of Seaford, DE, Tracey McCaw of Bel Air, MD, and Wendy Poarch of Elkton, MD; sisters, Pam Smucker of Lancaster, PA, Judy Kauffman of Lancaster, PA and Jo Ann McBride of Wilmington, DE; brothers, Gene Chaffins of Millington, MD and John Chaffins of Dover, DE; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 13 nieces and nephews, numerous aunts and uncles and many good friends.
