Charles Edison (Chuck) Jaegers, 55, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family, due to a massive heart attack. His organs were donated to the Gift of Life Donor program.

Chuck was a front-end alignment specialist and worked at various places in New Castle County.

Chuck was an avid fan of music and loved to play those strings on his guitar. His interests included watching football and NASCAR races. He had a jovial personality that always made people laugh.

Chuck is survived by his mother and father, Nancy and William Jaegers Jr.; his sister, Karen (Joe) Petrucci; his brother, William Jaegers, III; his niece Sarah (Chris) Claycomb and his great niece and nephew, Penelope and Aiden Claycomb. He is also survived by an uncle, an aunt, and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Edison A. Longest; his grandmother, Sylvia L. Longest and his cousin, Donna Newman, who recently passed away in August 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 11 am. Burial will be private.
