Obituary for Arlene M. Dennis
Arlene M. Dennis, age 57, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at her home.
Arlene attended Wilmington High School and later Wilmington University where she earned her Bachelors Degree while raising her four beautiful children. She worked for Bank of America for over 30 years, most recently as a Senior Claims Analyst. Prior to that, she opened her own in-home daycare center and cared for her children as well as many others.
Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Loved ones knew to find her floating in her pool or at the beach.
Arlene is preceded in death by her father, Richard Hadley Sr.
Survivors include her daughters, Michelle Dierolf (Joe) and Ashley Schorah (Jon); sons, Sean Dennis Jr. (Jenn) and Danny Dennis (Kassie); mother, Barbara L. Hadley; 9 grandchildren, Adriana, Natalie, Nathan, Miranda, Hailey, McKenna, Hayden, Nolan and Charlotte; siblings, Richard Hadley Jr. (Kathy), Sharon Kwiatkowski and Robert Hadley (Norma); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, her work family and other extended family. She will always be remembered for being a kind, open-hearted, and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Nichols – Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 11:30 AM.
