Albert W. Lasavage Sr
Age 97, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Gilberton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
Al was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII in the South Pacific. Al was inducted in the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and was a Penn State Alumni He worked as a teacher and coach ay Mt. Airy High School in Frederick MD, the De La Warr district at Rosehill and Minquadale, and the Dickinson-Stanton District at Forest Oak. Al was a member of St. Matthews Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and followed Penn State Football.
Al was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Catherine Lasavage in 2010; his parents, Peter and Ceceila Lasavage; brothers, Peter and Leonard Lasavage and his sister, Isabelle Wagner.
Survivors include his sons, Peter Lasavage of Dover and Albert Lasavage Jr (Chana) of Wilmington and his nieces and nephews including Peter C. Lasavage and cousins including Fran Rafferty.
Funeral Services will be held in Lock Haven, PA.
