I remember Abel. He was one of my students in my very first year of teaching at H.B.duPont Middle School. He was a very personable and kind young man with a wild sense of humor. He kept everybody in class laughing, including me. I had not seen Abel in several years but when we last greeted each other he brought me up on how some of my former students were doing in life and reminded me that he was my favorite student! He told me he was getting along well and assured me he would continue to take great care of himself. My heart is heavy right now and my condolences go out to his loved ones. Sleep in Peace, Abel. Jesus is soon to come.

My wife and i met Abel at the Metro Diner. We always made a point to eat at the counter because we enjoyed making small talk with everyone who worked in the kitchen. We were extremely shocked to see the memorial Saturday. Abel always went out of his way to say hi and made us feel like we were in his kitchen. He was a warm, friendly, hardworking and immensely talented young man and we will miss him terribly! Our sincerest condolences to all his family and friends. May God give you peace.

It's unbelievable you're really gone. You are the most AMAZING man I've ever loved. We were flawed, but our love for each other was perfect. Abel, my love, you are gone from this earth but you're with me in my heart, mind, and soul. I wish we had more time. My pain from missing you is emotionally and physically unbearable.
