Sharon M. McVey

The Lord called Sharon on Sunday, October 15, 2017.

Sharon has worked at Gallyware Company for many years. She was preceded in death by her sons, William and Patrick McVey; her parents, Russell and Patricia Womer; her brothers, Mike, Russell and Jimmy Womer and her sister, Shirley Thomas.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert McVey; her stepson, Robert McVey Jr.; her grandson, Patrick McVey; step grandsons, Zachery and Joshua McVey; her great granddaughter, Meadow Lily McVey. She will be missed by her sisters-in-law, Brenda Wheatley and Debbie Richards; her brothers-in-law, Jeff, Dan and Terry (Peggy) Wheatley; her best friends, Jim and Carol Shumate and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 PM on Friday, October 20 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 2:30 PM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in Sharon's memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
