Dot, age 87, of Ocean View and formerly of Glen Bernie Estates, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the presence of her family.

She was born in Altoona, Pa, the daughter of the late Oscar Melvin Wood and Mary Louise White Wood. Dot was a 1944 graduate of Conrad High School and attended Goldey Beacom College. She was a homemaker and attended Peniel United Methodist Church. Dot enjoyed knitting, sewing, and loved watching the Lawrence Welk TV show. In retirement, she and her husband moved to North Fort Myers, Florida where she enjoyed spending time with her Florida friends and neighbors.

Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Everett E. Alexander who passed away in 2007; her brother, William Wood and sister in law, Dorothy Wood. She is survived by her children, Donald Alexander (Francisca) and their children, Terry Tinder (Marcus), Robert Stone, Angela Jabs (Chris) and Amelia Alexander; Deborah Raposa (Jason) and their children, John and Tina Raposa; Frederick Alexander (Katie) and their children, Timothy, Eileen and Michael Alexander; Melisa, Michael (Stephanie), Staci, and Sheri Bechard; Wayne Alexander (Mona) and their children, Aaron and Alyssa Alexander; Gary Alexander (Laura); great grandchildren, Paris Alexander and Jordan Tinder; Donald and Lizzy Chance; John (Jay-Jay Raposa; Naomi and Ava Jabs; Isaac Bechard; and great great grandson, Walter Raposa.
